Welcome to the site. I’m running for re-election because I believe Miami County government is a model for the State of Ohio. The management team concept of government started by commissioners Richard Adams and Arthur “Ozzie” Haddad in 1992 must continue. I believe I am the only candidate in this election who will continue this management process and give the citizens of Miami County what they expect, good government with conservative fiscal management.

When I became your County Commissioner in 2003 I vowed to work with the other Miami County elected officials to provide the taxpayers with the type of government they want. We have not raised taxes and we have kept county budgets under control.

As a life long resident of Miami County, I believe we need to maintain our agricultural heritage while facilitating economic development to maintain our standard of living. We must not lose our small town feel and we must create good jobs for our citizens.

After graduating from The Ohio State University, I came home to Miami County to work in the family business. After more than 30 years of operating Favorite Insurance with my brother Stan I know what it takes to meet a payroll and control budgets. I know if my father were still with us he would be proud of what Stan and I have accomplished.

You know, my dad always told us, “Son if it isn’t broke don’t fix it.” We’ll I think you will agree, Miami County’s government isn’t broken so I ask for you vote on November 4th.
